This isothermal cover has been specially developed for large oval pools and forms an insulating layer directly on the water surface.

The summer cover is ideal as an addition to the GRE Ovalada Oval Steel Pool - 730 cm x 375 cm x 132 cm. The cover is placed directly onto the pool water and floats on it. As a result, no attachment with cables or tensioners is required.

The cover helps to keep the accumulated heat in the pool for longer, reduces evaporation, and ensures that leaves, insects, and other coarse debris do not end up in the pool water as easily.

Specifically for oval pools of 730 x 375 cm

The GRE CPROV730 summer cover is developed for oval pools with a nominal size of 730 x 375 cm.

Unlike a winter cover, a summer cover is not stretched over the outside of the pool structure. It is placed directly on the water surface within the pool walls.

As a result, the cover may be slightly smaller than the nominal outer dimensions of the pool.

Keep the heat in the pool for longer

A large pool contains a lot of water. Once the pool has warmed up, you naturally want to retain that heat for as long as possible.

A large part of heat loss occurs via the open water surface. Especially during cooler nights, the temperature of an uncovered pool can drop noticeably.

The GRE isothermal summer cover forms an insulating layer between the pool water and the outside air. This limits heat loss and helps the accumulated heat to be retained for longer.

Ideal when using a pool heat pump

For a pool of 730 x 375 cm, a summer cover is particularly interesting if you are using a pool heat pump.

The heat pump heats the pool water, while the cover helps prevent a large part of that heat from being lost again through the water surface.

This means the heat pump has to replenish less lost heat. This can help to significantly reduce the energy consumption for heating the pool.

For the most efficient pool heating possible, it is therefore wise to cover the pool as soon as it is no longer being used for swimming.

Up to approx. 50% less water evaporation

During warm, dry, and windy periods, a large open pool can lose a significant amount of water daily through evaporation.

A summer cover covers almost the entire water surface and therefore reduces direct contact between the pool water and the outside air.

According to GRE, using a cover during the high season of approximately four months can result in approx. 50% less water evaporation.

This means you have to add fresh water to the pool less frequently.

Keeps leaves and other coarse debris out

The GRE summer cover does not just help with heat retention.

When the pool is not covered, leaves, insects, twigs, and other debris can end up directly in the water. Some of this is removed by the skimmer, while other debris sinks to the bottom.

With the summer cover, a large portion of this debris remains on top of the cover.

This helps to keep the pool water cleaner and can reduce the load on the skimmer and filter system.

Isothermal effect

The GRE CPROV730 is an isothermal cover. The material is designed so that it floats directly on the pool water.

The air structure within the cover provides the insulating effect. This shields the water surface from the outside air, reducing both heat loss and evaporation.

The cover must be placed correctly on the water to take full advantage of this effect.

Made of polyethylene

GRE manufactures this series of summer covers from polyethylene.

This material is light, flexible, and therefore practical for regular use during the swimming season. You can easily roll the cover over the water surface and remove it again when you want to swim.

The blue color also matches the look of the pool water nicely.

Floats directly on the water

No cables, elastic bands, or other attachment materials are needed for this summer cover.

You simply lay the cover directly on the pool water. It then stays floating on the water surface.

When you want to swim, you remove the cover completely from the pool. After use, it can be placed over the water again.

Easier to use with a reel system

Due to the large pool size of 730 x 375 cm, this is a fairly large cover.

The cover can be placed and removed manually, but for regular use, a suitable reel system for pool covers can make using it considerably easier.

This allows you to roll up the cover more evenly and store it compactly next to the pool.

Summer cover and winter cover are not the same

It is important to distinguish between a summer and winter cover.

This GRE CPROV730 summer cover floats on the pool water and is intended to retain heat, reduce evaporation, and keep out coarse debris during the swimming season.

A winter cover, on the other hand, is placed over the pool structure and securely fastened around the pool. This type is intended to cover the pool during a longer winter period.

The CPROV730 summer cover is therefore not intended as a replacement for a GRE winter cover.
