W'eau FPP-400 sand filter set 6m3

The W’eau FPP-400 sand filter set is a powerful solution for filtering both above-ground and inground swimming pools. This set is designed for pools with a capacity of up to 24,000 liters and is suitable for pools with low, medium, and high resistance. This makes the FPP-400 ideal for larger installations where piping may be longer and the filter set can be connected to a pool vacuum. The design flow rate of 6 m³/h means the filter set can filter up to 6,000 liters of water per hour, ensuring clean and clear pool water.

The sand filter is equipped with a Top Mount 6-way valve, which ensures user-friendly operation with multiple positions for various cleaning and maintenance tasks. With this valve, you can easily switch between filtering, backwashing, rinsing, and water circulation, so the pool water always remains in optimal condition.

The filter set includes a self-priming pump specifically designed for more demanding tasks. This pump is not only powerful but also energy-efficient, which contributes to lower energy costs. The filter vessel is made of polyethylene reinforced with polyester, making it resistant to an operating pressure of 2.5 bar, and ensuring durability and a long service life.

Functions of the 6-way valve:

1. Filter: Water flows from top to bottom through the filter vessel, filtering dirt and impurities from the pool water.
2. Backwash: Water flows from bottom to top to rinse the filter material clean and remove accumulated dirt.
3. Rinse: Flushes away dirt after backwashing, leaving the filter clean for use.
4. Close: Closes all inlets and outlets when the pump is not in use.
5. Waste: Drains water directly to the sewer, for example to lower the water level.
6. Circulate: Circulates the water without filtering, ideal when treating water with chemicals such as algaecide.

Filter medium:

The filter vessel of the W’eau FPP-400 can be filled with either filter sand or filter glass. Filter sand is a popular and cost-effective choice, but filter glass offers better filtration and lasts longer. It is recommended to use 33 kg of filter sand or 28.1 kg of filter glass, depending on your preference. Filter glass is more durable, effective, and needs to be replaced less frequently (up to 15 years), whereas filter sand should be replaced after approximately 5 years.
