Description

The W'eau FPP-400 sand filter set is a powerful solution for filtering both above ground and structural pools. This set is designed for pools with a capacity of up to 24,000 litres and is suitable for pools with low, medium and high resistances. This makes the FPP-400 ideal for larger installations where the pipework can be longer and the filter set can be connected to a pool vacuum cleaner. The design flow rate of 6 m³/h means that the filter set can filter up to 6,000 litres of water per hour, ensuring clean and clear pool water.

The sand filter is equipped with a Top Mount 6-way valve , which provides user-friendly operation with multiple settings for various cleaning and maintenance tasks. With this valve you can easily switch between filtering, backwashing, rinsing and water circulation, so that the pool water always remains in optimal condition.

The filter set includes a self-priming pump that is specially designed for heavier tasks. This pump is not only powerful, but also energy-efficient, which contributes to lower energy costs. The filter vessel is made of polyethylene reinforced with polyester, which makes it resistant to a working pressure of 2.5 bar , and ensures durability and a long service life.

Functions of the 6-way valve:

1. Filtering : Water flows from top to bottom through the filter tank, filtering dirt and impurities from the pool water.
2. Backwashing : Water flows from bottom to top to rinse the filter material and remove accumulated dirt.
3. Rinse : Rinses away dirt after backwashing, leaving the filter clean for use again.
4. Close : Close all inputs and outputs when the pump is not in use.
5. Waste : Discharges water directly into the sewer, for example to lower the water level.
6. Circulate : Allows the water to circulate without filtering, ideal when treating water with chemicals such as algae control.

Filter medium:

The W'eau FPP-400 filter tank can be filled with either filter sand or filter glass . Filter sand is a popular and cost-effective choice, but filter glass provides better filtration and lasts longer. It is recommended to use 33 kg of filter sand or 28.1 kg of filter glass , depending on your preference. Filter glass is more durable, effective and needs to be replaced less often (up to 15 years), while filter sand needs to be replaced after about 5 years.
