Description
The DK 310 sand filter set is a simple and affordable sand filter set for small above-ground pools. We recommend this filter set for above-ground pools with a maximum capacity of 16,000 litres. The filter set is equipped with a polyethylene sand filter in combination with a simple pool pump. The 6-way tap allows you to easily operate the different settings of the filter.
Light application
This filter set is equipped with a swimming pool pump with a maximum pump capacity of 7,000 litres per hour. This makes the filter set ideal for smaller above-ground and built-in swimming pools with little resistance from other equipment or long pipes. Please note that the swimming pool pump with its light application is not powerful enough to bridge long distances or to vacuum the pool intensively.
Complete filter set (excluding filter medium)
This DK 310 filter set is complete with all accessories, so that you can connect the sand filter set directly to your pool. The filter set is supplied with sand filter tank, pool pump, 6-way tap, 32 and 38 mm connection and a plug with earth leakage circuit. To use the filter set, you only need the correct amount of filter medium.
6 way tap
The DK 310 filter set is equipped with a handy 6-way tap. This allows you to easily operate the different positions. Below we list the positions for you and briefly explain their use.
- Filtering; water flows from top to bottom in the filter tank (used 99% of the time)
- Backwashing; water flows from bottom to top in the filter vessel to rinse the filter material (use this setting when you notice reduced filtration/flow)
- Rinse; flush away dirty water after backwashing
- Close; you close all entrances and exits
- Waste; drain pool water directly to the sewer (when you want to lower the water level)
- Circulate; allow water to flow around only, without passing through the filter (almost essential when treating with chlorine shock, for example with green pool water)
Filter medium; sand, glass or Aqualoon
The filter tank of the DK 310 is filled with filter sand, filter glass or Aqualoon. This is not included as standard. Filter sand is traditionally used the most, is the cheapest and must be replaced after about 5 years. Filter glass is somewhat more effective, slightly more expensive, but less of it is needed and you only have to replace it after 10 to 15 years. The Aqualoon filter balls are the lightest filter medium and can be washed after use. The balls must be cleaned at least once per season.
- Required amount of filter sand: 16 kg
- Required amount of filter glass: 15 kg
- Required amount of Aqualoon: 450 grams
