Hayward 2″ bottom drain for concrete/liner – Grey

The Hayward floor drain helps drain water from the deepest point of your pool to the filtration system. By also circulating water from the lower layers, the floor drain supports a more even distribution of heat and water treatment chemicals.

This version is suitable for underground pools with a concrete or liner construction. The housing is made of ABS and has an anthracite finish. With a specified flow rate range of 5 to 15 m³/h, the floor drain can be incorporated into a suitably designed pool system.

Supports circulation from the pool floor

Good water circulation involves both the surface water and the deeper layers of water in the filtration process. The floor drain draws water from underneath the pool, after which it returns through the system and the return inlets.

This helps reduce temperature differences between the lower and upper layers of water and supports the distribution of water treatment chemicals. The final performance depends on the interaction between the floor drain, skimmers, return inlets, and pool pump.

The floor drain is installed at the deepest point of the pool during construction. This version is suitable for concrete and liner constructions. Proper connection and sealing are important, as the drain is less easily accessible after the pool floor has been finished.

Also suitable for draining the pool

In addition to daily circulation, the floor drain can be used to drain pool water when emptying the pool. For this purpose, the piping system must be appropriately configured.

The floor drain serves as the suction point; the actual draining of the water is controlled via the connected system. The possibilities depend on the pump, valves, and drainage route.

ABS housing with two connection positions

The floor drain is made of ABS and has an anthracite color that blends well with dark or gray pool liners. The side outlet has a 2″ female thread connection. On the underside, there is a 1½″ female thread connection.

These connection positions offer flexibility for pipe installation. When connecting and, if necessary, sealing off an unused connection, follow the manufacturer's installation instructions. The safe operation of the suction must also be coordinated with the entire pool system.
