Hayward 2″ bottom drain for concrete/liner – Sand

The Hayward floor drain helps drain water from the deepest point of your pool to the filtration system. By also incorporating water from the lower water layers into the circulation, the floor drain supports a more even distribution of heat and water treatment chemicals.

This version is suitable for underground pools with a concrete or liner construction. The housing is made of ABS and has an anthracite-colored finish. With a specified flow rate range of 5 to 15 m³/h, the floor drain can be incorporated into a correspondingly designed pool system.

Supports circulation from the floor

Good water circulation involves both the surface water and the deeper water layers in the filtration. The floor drain drains water from underneath the pool, after which it returns via the system and the return jets.

This helps to reduce temperature differences between the lower and upper water layers and supports the distribution of water treatment chemicals. The final performance depends on the cooperation between the floor drain, skimmers, return jets, and pool pump.

Suitable for concrete and liner pools

The floor drain is built into the deepest point of the pool during construction. This version is suitable for concrete and liner constructions. A correct connection and sealing are important, because the drain is less easily accessible after the pool floor has been finished.

Therefore, take the position and the pipe route into account in the pool design beforehand. Check which installation and sealing components are required for your floor construction.

Also usable for draining

In addition to the daily circulation, the floor drain can be used to drain pool water when emptying the pool. For this, the pipework must be appropriately designed.

The floor drain forms the suction point; the actual draining of the water is controlled via the connected system. The possibilities depend on the pump, valves, and drainage route.

ABS housing with two connection positions

The floor drain is made of ABS and has an anthracite color that blends nicely with dark or gray pool liners. The side outlet has a 2″ female thread connection. On the underside, there is a 1½″ female thread connection.

These connection positions offer options for the pipe installation. When connecting and optionally sealing off an unused connection, follow the manufacturer's installation instructions. The safe execution of the suction must also be coordinated with the entire pool system.
