The W'eau S-500 fiberglass-reinforced side mount sand filter is a powerful and durable pool filter for medium to large private swimming pools. With a maximum flow rate of 12 m³ per hour, this filter is suitable for pools up to 48,000 liters and forms the ideal basis for a professional and efficient pool installation. Thanks to the fine filtration of 25 to 30 microns, dirt particles such as sand, dust, leaves, insects, and other contaminants are effectively removed from the pool water, ensuring you can always enjoy clear and hygienic swimming water.

The filter tank is manufactured from high-quality polyethylene (PE) reinforced with fiberglass/polyester, making it exceptionally resistant to high pressure, UV radiation, and weather conditions. This reinforced construction ensures a long service life and makes the filter suitable for intensive use for many years.

The side mount design offers significant advantages over a top mount filter. Because the 6-way valve is located on the side of the filter tank, water is distributed more evenly across the entire filter bed. This allows for optimal utilization of the filter media, results in less pressure loss, and provides more efficient filtration. Furthermore, the top of the filter remains completely unobstructed, making maintenance and replacing the filter media significantly easier.

The W'eau S-500 is equipped with a professional 6-way valve that allows you to easily switch between the various filter functions:

• Filter – normal filtration of the pool water.
• Backwash – cleans the filter media by sending water through the filter in reverse.
• Rinse – flushes away remaining dirt after backwashing.
• Waste – drains pool water directly.
• Recirculate – circulates water without passing through the filter bed.
• Close – shuts off all water flows.

For added ease of use, the filter features a transparent filter lid, an automatic air vent, a sight glass, and a pressure gauge. This allows you to easily monitor the filter pressure and see immediately when a backwash is needed.

The filter is suitable for use with filter sand, filter glass, and glass beads. Filter glass in particular offers finer filtration, lower water consumption during backwashing, and a longer lifespan than traditional filter sand.

With the standard 50 mm connections, the W'eau S-500 is easy to combine with almost any pool pump, heat pump, UV-C system, or saltwater system.
