The W’eau FPP-500 sand filter set is a powerful and complete solution for filtering both above-ground and built-in swimming pools. With a design flow rate of 12 m³ per hour, this sand filter set is capable of filtering up to 12,000 liters of water per hour, making it ideal for larger pools up to 48,000 liters. Thanks to its suitability for low, medium, and high resistance, it is possible to use this set in pools with long piping systems, and it can be connected to a pool vacuum for thorough cleaning.

The set comes with a powerful, self-priming pump specifically designed for heavier tasks. Despite its powerful performance, the pump is energy-efficient, which helps keep energy costs low. The filter vessel is made of polyethylene (PE), reinforced with polyester, and can withstand a maximum working pressure of 2.5 bar, ensuring long-term durability and reliability.

This Top Mount sand filter set is equipped with a 6-way valve that offers different settings for various filtering and maintenance tasks. You can easily switch between filtering, backwashing, rinsing, circulating, and more. This makes the W’eau FPP-500 sand filter set particularly versatile and efficient to use.

Functions of the 6-way valve:

1. Filter: Water flows from top to bottom through the filter, which ensures the removal of dirt and impurities from the pool water.
2. Backwash: Water flows from bottom to top to flush the filter material clean and remove accumulated dirt.
3. Rinse: Rinses away dirty water after backwashing, ensuring the filter is ready for use.
4. Close: Closes all inlets and outlets when the pump is not in use.
5. Waste: Drains pool water directly to the sewer, for example, to lower the water level.
6. Circulate: Circulates the water without passing through the filter, ideal for chemical treatments such as algae control.

Filter medium:

The filter vessel of the W’eau FPP-500 can be filled with both filter sand and filter glass. Filter sand is the most commonly used and cost-effective option, which needs to be replaced approximately every 5 years. Filter glass is more durable and effective, needing replacement only every 10 to 15 years. Depending on your choice, you need 85 kg of filter sand or 72.3 kg of filter glass for optimal results.
